Tan Sri Krishnan Tan Boon Seng
Tan Sri Krishnan is the Executive deputy chairman of IJM Corporation. He was previously CEO and Group Managing Director of IJM where he was responsible for the group’s infrastructure, plantations and real estate businesses. Prior to joining IJM, he was with Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad. His directorships in other public companies include IJM Plantations Berhad, Malaysian South-South Corporation Berhad and Grupo Concesionario del Oeste S.A., Argentina. He is a member of the Board of Govenors of Malaysia Property Incorporated (MPI). He also serves as a member of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board as well as the Financial Reporting Foundation, and a Trustee of Perdana Leadership Foundation. He is actively involved in the promotion of Malaysia-India business ties and is currently the President of the Malaysia-India Business Council (MIBC) and Chairman of the Malaysia India CEO Forum. He qualified as a Certified Public Accountant after graduating with a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree from University of Malaya, and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, USA.
Dr. Ir. Bambang Subianto
Dr. Ir. Bambang Subianto was the Finance Minister of Indonesia from 1998-1999. He is currently the Chairman of Booz & Company and PT Arghajata Consulting in Indonesia. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, which he obtained in 1973 from Institut Teknologi Bandung and he holds a PhD in Corporate Finance & Economic Business from Leuven Catholic University, Belgium. Dr. Ir. Bambang started his career as a lecturer at the Economics Faculty of Universitas Indonesia. He joined the Ministry of Finance in 1988 as Director of Finance and Accounting and became the Director General in 1992. He was appointed Chairman of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) in January 1998. Following his term as Finance Minister, he was appointed Partner of Ernst & Young where he served for 5 years until his retirement in 2005. Dr. Ir. Bambang currently serves as the President Commissioner of PT Star Energy Investments and Independent Commissioner of PT Unilever Indonesia.
Dato’ Dr. Thillainathan Ramasamy
Dato’ Dr. Thillainathan Ramasamy was the COO of Genting Berhad from November 2002 to September 2006, its Executive Director from January 2003 to July 2007 and is presently a non-executive Director there. He is also a board member of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and Petronas Dagangan Berhad. Dato’ Dr. Thillainathan was an Associate Professor of University of Malaya and has worked in the banking industry for ten years. He has served on the National Economic Panel, the Anti-Recession Task Force, the Task Force on Capital Market Development, the Investment Panel of Employees Provident Fund and is a member of the National Economic Consultative Council’s Working Group. Dato’ Dr. Thillainathan is also a former President of the Malaysian Economic Association and was a member of the Tax Review Panel of the Ministry of Finance. Dato’ Dr. Thillainathan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Malaya and obtained a Master and Doctorate of Economics from the London School of Economics.
Robert (Bob) Kennedy
Robert (Bob) Kennedy is the Tom Lantos Professor of Business Administration at Michigan’s Ross School of Business and Executive Director of the William Davidson Institute (WDI), a think tank that focuses on practical research, education programs, and capacity building in emerging market economies. Bob’s research focuses on the opportunities and challenges facing businesses in developing countries and has been widely published. He has authored more than 120 articles, chapters, notes, case studies, and computer exercises on emerging market issues. From 2002-2012, his teaching materials were used at every one of Business Week’s top 25 U.S. business schools. Kennedy also sits on the governing and/or advisory boards of numerous organizations active in the economic development sector, including the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), the Global Business School Network (GBSN), the “Development Through Enterprise” website NextBillion.net, the University of Michigan’s Center for Global Health, and the Ross School’s Global Initiative.
R. Srinivasan is the Founder and Managing Director of Redington, a $3.6 billion technology products supply chain solutions company operating in India, Middle East, Africa & Turkey. The company is listed on the National Stock Exchange in India. Prior to starting Redington in Singapore, he spent three years in Indonesia with PT Elegant Textile in Indonesia. Mr. Srinivasan’s experience also includes several years with Readers Digest and The Coca-Cola Corporation in India. Mr. Srinivasan holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from Madras University in India and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He sits on the Boards of Arena (listed in Turkey), HCL Technologies (India) and Easyaccess Financial Services (a non-banking finance company in India). Outside business, he is the Chairman of SSN Institutions in Chennai (a leading Engineering college working with Carnegie-Mellon University) and Vice-President of the Music Academy, Chennai.
