Kwai Fatt has held various leadership roles within PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the PwC Network. He served as Managing Partner for PwC Malaysia for 12 years. Prior to that, he was the Managing Consulting Services Leader.
Kwai Fatt’s leadership role extended beyond Malaysia with the formation of PwC South East Asia Peninsula (SEAPEN) Region covering over 3000 people in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. He was the Territory Senior Partner for PwC SEAPEN and SEAPEN representative in the PwC East Cluster Leadership Team.
Kwai Fatt served as the Corporate Finance Leader in PwC, and upon his retirement as Partner, he has taken a role of a Senior Adviser to PwC South East Asia Corporate Finance. He was appointed as an independent non executive director of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad.
With more than 30 years of experience in leadership roles and in consulting services, Kwai Fatt has been involved in providing a broad range of business advisory services and strategic Information Technology services to clients across diverse industry sectors including financial services, Government, consumer products and services and property development in Malaysia and the Asean region. He has extensive experience in conducting strategic assessments, providing Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) strategy and negotiations, advising on business valuations, and restructuring. Kwai Fatt has a strong grasp of business growth drivers and has led several successful strategic divestment/growth mandates in excess of RM 1 billion in transaction values.
Kwai Fatt has also led several major investigations into leading corporate and government-linked entities. This involved reviewing their structure, transactions and corporate governance standards. He had also served as a Task Force Leader on Electronic Government whilst on secondment to Multimedia Development Corporation.
Kwai Fatt holds an honours degree in Economics from the University of Hull, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Malaysian Institute Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
