EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES
EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES
CREADOR FOUNDATION
Creador Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, registered in 2010, with a presence in Malaysia and India. We pride ourselves in being a foundation that goes beyond traditional grant-giving. We believe in empowering local communities so that they can take ownership of their own lives and become primary agents for change. With this spirit of empowerment, we develop and run sustainable programmes that are focused on solving deep needs in communities.

Our flagship programmes are designed to be:
- End-user focused: Our target beneficiaries are at the centre of our programmes. We prioritise understanding their realities and needs right from conception and throughout the development of the programmes. We listen and keep tweaking our programmes to develop content and a user journey that is fit for purpose.
- Research & innovation-driven: We believe that achieving our mission requires a commitment to learning and ongoing transformation. We reflect and conduct analysis to iterate what parts are working and what are not at all times.
- Ecosystem-enabled: We acknowledge that tackling systemic issues require a broad, diverse coalition of partners working together towards a shared vision. This is why we believe in creating an ecosystem of partners who can address challenges across the lifecycle of our target communities.
IN THE NEWS
MULTIPLY MALAYSIA
Multiply is a free, neutral, researched-backed online platform with easy-to-understand information on personal finance that is designed to help Malaysians make better financial decisions. In particular, Multiply is aimed at Malaysian adults who are part of the upper B40 & M40 groups in key life stages; namely students, families, working adults and retirees.
Multiply began with the understanding that there was a deep need for free personal finance resources that could be easily accessed by anyone, anywhere across the country. This need, coupled with the expertise of Creador and the young people therein who deal with finance daily, led to the birth of Multiply.
Since its launch in August 2020, Multiply has:
- Provided financial guidance to over 560,000 individuals
- Through 38 guides, 16 infographics, 116 blog posts and 16 calculators for users in key life stages.
Multiply Malaysia is now branching out into creating financial content for micro business owners and hopes to impact entrepreneurs from the B40 community.

MULTIPLY INDIA
Multiply India aims to bring change in financial behaviour by providing access to financial education, with content curated to suit the needs of different groups such as students, young adults, families, women, retirees, among others.
The platform is currently being built, and when completed, will host relevant information on savings, financial markets, loans, and digital financial services, among others, in an interactive format that ensures users have a great learning experience.
Users will be able to track their learning journey and engage with the resources on the platform, helping them gain the confidence they need to make better financial decisions.
While 74% of Indian population is literate, only 24% is financially literate—the lowest as compared to other emerging economies (BRICS). Although the reasons are many, the skewed spread of awareness and access to information is a major reason for the poor financial literacy rates in India, leading to continued cycle of poverty among various groups. Of all, women continue to be the most vulnerable, with almost 62% of them still under banked.
Given the response from the users in Malaysia and the need for such a platform in India, Creador Foundation is expanding its reach in India through the Multiply India platform.
SCHOLA
Students with tertiary education are 4.6 times more likely to be upwardly mobile, have better opportunities and a better quality of life.
- Despite the benefits of higher education, only 44% of 17 to 23-year-olds are enrolled in higher education.
- The remaining 56% are disproportionately composed of students from low-income households with only 5% of young adults from B40 households obtaining a Bachelor’s degree.
The higher education divide exists: potential and talent are equally distributed, but opportunity and access are not. Students from low-income communities face enormous barriers to higher education.
Schola believes in the brilliance of all students and that higher education provides the best opportunity for upward mobility in an inequitable world. We empower students to build a future that brings out the fullest extent of their potential.
We provide accessible, unbiased, and relevant content on education and career pathways that respond to real needs, and help students make informed decisions while involving parents, teachers, and industry players to support students on their journey.
