Introduction

Creador’s first investment into CTOS was in 2014 when we acquired a majority stake in the company through Fund II. The business was operating at high margins and strong cash flows due to the IP and data-centric nature of its products.

Market Opportunity

At the time of investment, the credit bureau industry was still relatively nascent in Malaysia with significant headroom for product and segment expansion.

Strategy and Execution

  • Since our investment in 2014, we have contributed to CTOS’ growth by identifying and implementing both organic and inorganic growth levers. Our teams have contributed to the onboarding of key senior personnel, launch of new products, penetration into new customer segments and entry into regional markets. Our teams also led several notable acquisitions such as Juris Technologies, BOL Thailand, RAM Holdings, and Finscore. CTOS was subsequently listed in July 2021.
