QSR is the fastest growing segment amongst the food service chain formats and is expected to continue its growth momentum for the next five years. The company has capitalized on the growing demand for QSR chains in India and has become the market leader in the Fried Chicken category with KFC having approximately 35% market share, #2 player in the Pizza category in India & market leader in the Pizza category in Sri Lanka. At the time of our investment, the company had 366 outlets which has doubled in a short span of two years showcasing exponential growth.

Strategy and Execution

  • Creador’s involvement with Sapphire Foods is primarily focused on improving operational efficiency and offering strategic advice. Our role entailed advising the management on strategic decisions relating to ESOP structuring, new product launches, meal plans, introducing new categories for consumption, acquisition opportunities, etc. These decisions have helped the company improve margins, expand store footprints across key regions, and introduce new products at affordable prices.
